She is wearing a claret ground top with with raised gilt scrolls and dotted decoration and having large gilt lined sleeves. The bottom of her dress is on a green ground and hand painted with pink roses. She is also wearing a headdress with blue feather plumes, orange and blue ribbons with gilt beads and a green jewel. She has a fan in one hand where the tea is poured out from, a white rose bud in the other hand with her arm angled to form the handle. To the top of her head is the lid form as a bun piece which lifts off to pour the hot water into.
She has gilt coloured earrings, cross on a chain and a bangle. There is a pierced opening at the back to take a handled tray where you warm the tea or any liquid. Marked to the base with an incised C and is in the manner of Jacob Petit. SIZE : Total height measures 13 1/2 inches.
Weighs 1.950 Kg before packing. CONDITION : From top to bottom: The lid has two large chips. The hand holding the fan has been broken off and re-glued.
The opening at the top of her dress has one large chip to the back and one small chip to the front that gets covered when the top half is put on. A 5 cm fine tight hairline running down from the top of the green dress. The dog has lost its back curled tail and about 1/4 of his ear is missing. Despite the faults it still displays well.
